James Murayama

James “Jimmy” Shinya Murayama, 88, of Hilo died Dec. 31, 2015, at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born Sept. 8, 1927, in Hilo, he was an assistant vice president and service manager for First Hawaiian Bank – Hilo Branch, instructor for line dancing at Kamana Senior Center and member of Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin Kyodan and Choir, RSVP and Hilo Kama Gateball Club.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. Jan. 15 at Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin, 398 Kilauea Ave. for an 11 a.m. service. Family requests no monetary gifts or flowers.

He is survived by wife, Jane Murayama of Hilo; two nephews.

Sean Magee

Sean Michael Magee, 26, of Keaau died Dec. 29, 2015. Born Sept. 21, 1989, in Oahu, he worked as a homecare personnel for Bayada Home Care and part time as a security guard.

Friends may call at 10 a.m. Jan. 16 at Legacy Christian Church, 1020 Keolu Drive, Kailua, Oahu for an 11 a.m. service. Lunch will follow.

He is survived by companion, Roylynn Nabaro of Keaau; mother Corene Woods of Texas; father, Michael Magee of Waimanalo, Oahu; grandparents, Henry Magee of Honolulu, Doreen and Calvin Matthews of Kapolei, Oahu; sisters, Chanelle Magee of Waimanalo, Oahu and Toni Moana Woods of Texas; numerous relatives including nephew, niece, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Masaru Miyamoto

Masaru Miyamoto, born May 1, 1922, died Oct. 16, 2015, at age 93.

He was born in Kawanui, Pepeekeo. He retired in 1987 as a warehouseman with Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Corporation.

Friends may call at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:30 a.m. service Jan. 16 at Ballard Family Mortuary-Hilo, 570 Kinoole Street in Hilo.

The family request casual attire be worn.

He is survived by wife, Tamie Miyamoto of Hilo; daughters, Ruth (Dennis) Ide of Honalo, Ann (Ronald) Fuke of Hilo; son Ralph (Sheri) Miyamoto of Wailuku, Maui; brother, Hajime Miyamoto of Hilo, Rodney (Marcelina) Miyamoto of Pahoa and Calvin (Dorothy) Miyamoto of Anaheim, Calif.; sister Yasue Kawasaki of Hilo three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Charles Young

Charles Spencer Young, 70, of Honolulu and formerly of Hakalau, died Dec. 22, 2015, at The Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu. He was a retired electronics engineer and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

Friends may call at the St. Joseph Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Jan. 11, where a Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. followed by burial at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. The family requests casual attire.

He is survived by wife, Yumiko Young of Honolulu; mother, Verna Young of Hakalau; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Keneka Kaulia

Keneka “Kanaks” Kahulileikamaeha Kaulia, 24, of Kalaoa died Dec. 22, 2015, at his residence. Born March 31, 1991, in Honolulu, he was a vehicle mechanic, provided carpentry services, was a mulch hauler, landscaper, truck driver and a past member of the Kai O Pua Canoe Club.

Services in Kailua-Kona were held. Friends may also call at 9 a.m. Jan. 23 at the Waianae Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 85-574 Old Plantation Road in Waianae, Oahu for an 11 a.m. funeral service. Burial will follow at the Nanakuli Cemetery.

He is survived by mother, Yolanda Kaulia of Kalaoa; sister, Haunani (James) Igawa of Honolulu; brothers, Julian-Puni Kaulia of Nanakuli, and Ioane Kaulia of Anchorage, Alaska; hanai sister, Pomaikai Igawa of Honolulu; hanai brothers, Waika Igawa, Koamalu Igawa, both of Honolulu, Jaydian Kaulia, Sage Cruce-Graham and Blaze Cruce-Graham, all of Nanakuli, Oahu; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Warren Miyashiro

Warren Nobuo Miyashiro, 70, of Kurtistown died Dec. 26, 2015, at his residence. Born in Honolulu, he was an accountant. No services.

He is survived by wife, Lynn Yurie Katayama of Kurtistown; sons, Nolan Miyashiro of Honolulu, Burton Miyashiro of Las Vegas, Kevin (Judy) Miyashiro of Las Vegas; brother, Wayne Miyashiro of Hilo; four grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.
